We're really cooking now.
Yesterday we hung the starboard broadstrake, and today we hung the port side. So we're halfway through the planking. The next ones have less twist, so they'll be easier to fit and hang. Because the planking stock comes in eight foot sheets (metric, actually) each strake is made of three pieces that are scrafed at an 8:1 ratio, and epoxied together to make a full-length strake. They are pretty awkward to handle alone, and balancing them as they are glued and screwed in place is a bit of a juggling act, but it is all coming together nicely.
