We hung the sheerstrakes last week, and left what will be the upper edge (when the boat is upright) about 1/2" oversize so we have some adjustment room when we get a chance to see her upright. We'll bet the sheer looks fine as lofted, but sometimes things look a little different in three dimensions...
We also finished roughing out the various keel, stem, and skeg parts, and finished gluing them in place last week. Today we started the finish shaping of these parts.

We also ordered the metal materials I need for the half oval stem bands and keel shoe, the rudder and centerboard pivots, and the pintles and gudgeons. It should arrive late this week, which is none too soon, since we would like to fit the shoe and half oval before we turn her over.
