After rowing the Rangeley in a wide range of conditions, we made a few changes to get the best performance possible.
Adjustable heel stretchers were added to both rowing stations.

Four folding bronze riggers were fitted to increase the rowing beam, which allowed the inner loom length of the oars to be increased by two inches, at the same time reducing the grip overlap. The riggers are cast and machined bronze, patterned after ones used by J.H. Rushton in the late 19th Century on boats similar to the Rangeley.
These changes made a fine pulling boat better still.
